Welcome to Student Works Painting.

I would like to welcome all of you to one of the most exciting and challenging summers of your lives! I have been involved with Student Works since 1993 when I worked as a Franchisee in the Tsawwassen area of Metro Vancouver while I earned my BA in International Relations from UBC and played varsity rugby.

In my capacity as President of Western Canada for Student Works and Pro Works Painting, I have had the pleasure of watching our business grow by leaps and bounds to become the number one student painting business in North America! We have seen the average Franchisee vastly increase their summer profits over recent years. Many of our Franchisee have remained involved for 5-6 years and have not only made an average of $50,000+ in their summers but have developed into amazingly confident and mature people.

It is with great pride that I enter 2023 with the hope of seeing the average person produce over $165,000 worth of work. The time has never been better to run a SWP franchise but there is still a great deal of work ahead for all of you. We are so lucky to be in the industry that we are.
I currently reside in the Yaletown area of downtown Vancouver with my wife Yuki and 13 year old son, London. We have a nine year old Great Dane by the name of M, and a rescue puppy from St Lucia by the name of Jinx. Bit of a Bond them going on here. Together, Yuki and I have traveled extensively and we take every opportunity we can to get out of the country and enjoy different cultures.

Congratulations for taking on this challenge! You are embarking on a life changing experience that will vault you years ahead of your peers. Stay focused, work hard, follow the Systems, listen to – and use – your District Manager, and you will make the most of this awesome opportunity.
